The Blue Boat Coffeehouse
Sat, Mar 18, 2017 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
On Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 6:00-9:00 pm, First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Scituate is proud to present our fourth Blue Boat Coffeehouse to highlight the incredible talent of local adults and youth while raising funds for a local non-profit organization ... and adding a wee touch o' the Irish in the music and entertainment!
This alcohol-free, substance-free, family-friendly event is open to the public and donations are encouraged to benefit South Shore Peer Recovery, a local group of volunteers who offer support to individuals and families in recovery from substance use disorders. This group has a small office in Scituate Harbor, offering free meditation, acupuncture and assistance navigating treatment resources. The long-term goal of the organization is to open a vibrant Recovery Community Center in the heart of our community - where peers in recovery, their family members & friends, can actively work on their recovery and support each other.
Volunteers from South Shore Peer Recovery will be on hand to answer questions about the groups and volunteer opportunities they offer.
For more information, check out their website : www.southshorepeerrecovery.com
Suggested Donation is $5. Irish bread, baked goods and other refreshments will be available for purchase.
First Parish UU Church is handicapped accessible and is located at 330 First Parish Rd., Scituate, MA (near Lawson Tower), 781-545-3324. For more information, please check our website: www.firstparishscituate.org.
